Project Brief
Blooming Doodles is a WebAR experience created for my final design showcase. Visitors scan a doodle-seed sticker to trigger a short animated sequence where a cartoon plant grows and blooms, symbolising creative growth. Designed with marker-based WebAR, simple motion graphics, and playful interactivity, the experience reflects my illustrative style while offering an accessible, memorable way for viewers to engage with my work and explore my portfolio.
The Challenge
The main challenge was translating a deeply personal, illustrative style into an engaging AR experience without losing its charm and emotional warmth. The interaction had to feel simple, intuitive, and instantly rewarding for users who may be unfamiliar with AR. Balancing visual playfulness with clear UX, creating animations that enhanced rather than overwhelmed the doodles, and ensuring each plant symbol meaningfully represented your growth as a designer were essential. The goal was to craft an AR moment that felt magical, yet purposeful.
